To be covered by Fat Llama’s Rental Guarantee, borrowers must follow these guidelines when renting an item.
1. Take Time-Stamped Photos/Videos
Before and after your rental, capture time-stamped photos of the item to document its condition.
For items with a key function that can’t be shown in a photo (e.g., a drone), take a timestamped video showing it in full working order. This serves as evidence in case of a dispute.
2. Report Issues During the Rental—Not After
If you notice any issues with the item, inform the lender immediately. They may be able to assist with troubleshooting or offer a solution.
3. Take Proper Care of the Item
Treat the item as if it were your own and take reasonable precautions to prevent damage.
Use protective packaging when applicable.
If you’re unfamiliar with how to use the item, research beforehand or ask the lender for guidance.
4. Return the Item on Time
Return the item at the agreed-upon time. If you return it late, you may be liable for daily late fees.
Following these steps helps ensure a smooth rental experience and protects you under Fat Llama’s Rental Guarantee.
