Ratings and Reviews

After each completed or cancelled rental, both the lender and the borrower have the opportunity to leave a rating and a written review. This is an important part of the rental process – it enhances transparency, builds trust, and helps other users make well-informed decisions.



How the Rating System Works

Ratings are given on a scale from 1 to 5 and are illustrated with emojis:

  • 1 (πŸ”΄πŸ˜‘) – Very dissatisfied

  • 2 (🟣😠) – Dissatisfied

  • 3 (😟) – Slightly dissatisfied

  • 4 (😐) – Neutral

  • 5 (😊) – Very satisfied

The vast majority of users leave high ratings, reflecting positive and smooth experiences. Our rating system is designed to encourage good service and responsible behaviour from both parties in a rental.

Reviews on Cancelled Rentals

We have introduced the ability to leave ratings on cancelled rentals. The reason for this is that an agreement is formed when a booking is paid for, which means both parties are entitled to provide feedback based on their experience – even if the rental was not carried out. This is an important step towards greater transparency and reliability on the platform, and contributes to a fairer representation of user interactions.

We also wanted to enhance security for borrowers, so that lenders cannot cancel at the last minute without a clear reason – especially since lenders are protected by a cancellation policy should a borrower need to cancel. Allowing ratings for cancellations creates a more balanced and accountable environment for everyone involved.

Review Guidelines

To ensure a respectful tone and a safe environment on the platform, the following guidelines apply to reviews:

Reviews must be:

  • Honest

  • Objective

  • Respectful

Reviews must not contain:

  • False or misleading information

  • Offensive, threatening or discriminatory remarks

  • Harassment or content intended to intimidate, ridicule, or cause discomfort

Editing or Reporting a Review

Would you like to change or delete your own review?

Do you feel a review is unfair or inaccurate?

First, try resolving the situation through dialogue with the other party in the rental. They can then contact us to request a change to their review.

In some cases, we may also take action without a request from the reviewer – for example, if the content clearly violates our terms.

We may remove or amend a review if:

  • It includes personal attacks, harassment or other offensive content

  • It is based on demonstrably incorrect information

  • The author requests for it to be edited or deleted

We are continuously working to improve our rating system. The aim is to create more detailed and nuanced feedback, offering a fairer and more complete picture of the user experience for every rental.
